I am a Ph.D student majoring in Chinese Linguistics (Major) with a minor in Psychology (Minor). I am interested in sentence and word processing. In sentence processing, I explore how individuals make use of syntactic, semantic and prosodic cues to resolve structural ambiguities, as well as how repeated exposure to intended interpretations influences their alignment and adaptation during comprehension. My research also extends to written word recognition and orthographic processing in Chinese. In the lab, I am studying how well Large Language Models understand syntactic structures by testing their ability to capture human parsing behaviors using garden-path sentences in both English and Mandarin.
